I used to buy the no salt added version of this tomato sauce (15 mg sodium vs 300 mg sodium), which had more of a tangy taste t it, however I cannot find it anymore other than in the small cans. I switched to this version (300 mg sodium) and I find it very convenient in size and easy to keep even once opened du to the attached cap. I love the texture and I just dont add any additional salt when cooking. The best part is zero added sugars so I can control the calories of my dishes.

This is hands down the best batch of tomato sauce / paste I have ever bought , it’s fresh flavorful sans the rusty taste of canned tomatoes , and zero mess with the top on the spout opening that just screws on and off , and the texture of tomato sauce is decent not watery not too thick and pours easily , when your done just screw the plastic lid back on and pop in your fridge , it should be good as it says on the box for a certain period of days till it’s no longer usable , I got the box with 6 cartons , and I have been using the sauce for my Pizza sauce , salsa , soups , spaghetti sauce you name it , one of the best premium options for tomato sauce on the market will be purchasing a box when this one is out.

I was happily impressed when I opened the box for this and found it was safely encased in two more boxes (since I ordered two). Thus the boxed tomato sauce was very well protected and had suffered no damage in transit.And when I took out a box and opened it up it smelled quite fresh and just like regular old canned tomato sauce.These boxes will be very easy to store in my pantry and the two orders of tomato sauce that I purchased will be used to make tomato juice for many months to come!I use my tomato sauce to make tomato juice by watering it down and adding a bit of salt and pepper and drinking it over ice. It’s delicious. And saves me paying $2 for a 16 oz bottle of tomato juice!

Store around here don’t carry this packaging for tomato sauce. This sauce is my kids favorite. It has the right consistency and mild spices to use straight out of the can (really!, try it) I’m glad Amazon has this particular packaging because it reduces waste significantly, is easier to use, and easier to store. I have a simple tab to open with a lid to close unused sauce and I can write the open date on the top for food safety. The alternative (cans) mean I have to stack them, use can openers, spatula’s to wipe the inside of the can, squeeze those cans in the recycling, and finding the right size container to put unused sauce in the fridge with a lid and with no date writing.

When I first received the cardboard box instead of the cans I was always used to, I was a little disappointed, however, I soon discovered the convenience of sealing up an unused portion and storing it in My fridge. Not only that, I think they are a lot easier to store.

I purchased canned tomato sauce before and it doesn’t ship well, so I decided to try these. They are packaged tightly together in a strong corrugated package and then put in your shipping box! Arrived perfect. Sauce is good , Hunts tends to be more acidic and I prefer that for certain recipes. Good flavor, color and texture.

I find this sauce very tasty and a nice consistency. I admit I was expecting a blander sauce, but I was pleased to find the flavor quite robustly tomato-ey. The packaging is super convenient. If I don’t use the entire contents, I don’t need to transfer what’s left to a separate container; I can just put the box in the fridge. (I will keep this product in mind for food pantry donations, which generally won’t accept glass jars.)

I buy Hunt’s because my mom bought Hunt’s. It’s a really good sauce. I eat a lot of pasta and I like to start with a can of this sauce to make my own. I’ve tried others and must say, the grocery store brand doesn’t compare.
