This is organic tomato paste. It’s ingredients are organic tomato pulp and citric acid. There’s no added sugar or anything else I don’t want to eat.The box of cans arrived intact and undented. The box of 12 arrived yesterday (Jan 11, 2025).The “best by” date is Sept. 1, 2026. More than enough time to use it while it’s still good.It smells good and tastes good.Tomato paste is very easy to use. It can be used to make tomato sauce without sugar. The price I paid was less than $2.00 per can. It’s good value for my money.

rich flavor, never sour or bitter. intensely tomato-ey! i add it to sauces and soups, to thicken and deepen flavors. for pizza, i smear it directly onto the oiled dough, then layer herbs, veggies, and cheese, so no gloppy wet crust, but big tomato taste. a pantry necessity at a great price.

My wife can’t eat things with citric acid in them and she used to buy the only brand of tomato paste in the supermarket that didn’t have it. But she recently came home from shopping, upset because that brand had added citric acid, so she could no longer eat tomato paste. (Part of her annoyance was that this kind of thing happens so often; it’s not that her life revolves around tomato paste.) So I looked on Amazon for a tomato paste without citric acid and ordered this for her. At first she said the 12 cans were enough for 20 years, but then she tried it and said it tastes much better than the other tomato pastes she’s been using. Now she says it won’t take long to use them all up; she uses it to make tomato soup, for example. She also likes that the cans are small, half the size of the ones she used to buy at the supermarket, because then there is less old paste hanging around.

God send for people like me who buy groceries that end up rotting in the refrigerator. I use tomatoes in most dishes, but I cook very infrequently, and I never have tomatoes when I cook or they are rotten from weeks ago. So I decided to get these canned ones. They are perfect. Tastes great.

I had extremely hard time opening these. Tries different openers. Can just would cave in. I turned upside down well well it worked. Now I store them upside down to remind me to open the bottom of the can.

It is very difficult to find a tomato paste that contains “tomatoes” only ! Most brands contain a citric acid ( derived from corn) . You would think the healthy organic brands would be above this . BEWARE ….. they are not !!!!! My body rejects corn products in a very unpleasant way and I am challenged to avoid this additive . Thanks again Kirkland !

I absolutely love Kirkland’a Organic tomato paste which we can’t purchase locally. It’s very rich in flavor & is better than others I’ve tried. I can eat this by itself! Will buy again

Beats all the other brands in flavor and price.
