But, nevertheless, this product might not be right for all applications. What Muir Glen doesn’t add is sugar. You may find that you need to add a bit of sugar to some recipes.What you don’t taste is any “canned” metallic flavor.The tomato flavor is excellent. There’s a clear reason why so many good cooks prefer Muir Glen canned tomato products.Some people object to canned anything just on principle. They want everything to be absolutely fresh. But the availability of fresh produce year-round is a very new thing. Many traditional recipes are actually written around canned ingredients. To get the authentic taste and experience, you need to use the correct ingredients. And that is sometimes canned stuff.

Honestly I love this sauce and use it all of the time. It is lower in acidity than many others (at least for me) and with a few fresh additions (garlic, onion, pepper flakes etc) its great. Although its great on its own too!

I have been making Pasta Fagioli for years and lately I tried using this tomato sauce. This is the best sauce I have ever used for this recipe. My husband said it is recommended by chefs. I can see why.

My pantry is always stocked with Muir Glen organic diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. I try to cook dinner with them at least once a week. Add your own spices and for the flavor you want and fresh, frozen, or pantry ingredients. Dinner can take 30 minutes or less AND tomato sauces are so, so nutritious!

Since 2015, I have ordered this Glen Muir tomato sauce about 10 times with no dented shipments. I use my handheld can opener and never had a problem. I like the “no added sugar” in this product. It doesn’t need any! I also like that they peel the tomatoes, and I find no seeds. Many people recommend this method of processing tomatoes to make the best basic sauce. It has a smooth texture and has a wonderful tomato taste. This sauce is great for adding desired herbs and other fresh ingredients right from the garden to complete any recipe. I recommend Glen Muir tomato sauce.

It is the best, I love this brand. when I make scratch pasta sauce, this is the brand I use, especially the diced with green peppers and basil. Once I mine the garlic up, and simmer it in the olive oil just before the minced garlic turns toasty it has this aroma the secret of good pasta spaghetti sauce, and then I add the can of diced tomatoes by Muir Brand and then a can of their paste, water stir and add the rest of the seasonings. This is the best brand to me. I also use in it in the blender for sauce and spices when I make home made pizza Naples style. Best ever tomatoes in a can. Definitely recommend.

Bought this to use as my base for tomato gravy (aka sauce). Wanted a sauce base with out added stuff, this just has a bit of sea salt added, no garlic/onions, spice… I add that myself and how I like it! I prefer making gravy from scratch and using fresh tomatoes, but in a pinch and/or winter, this will work. You have to watch the price… If fluctuates a lot… I ordered via subscribe and save one day, and the next the price is cheaper than my 15% “savings”.

This is my favorite tomato sauce. I’ve had trouble finding it locally so now I buy it online. It’s bland on its own but has a rich tomato flavor and is very versatile. I use it instead of pizza sauce. I just put this sauce on the unbaked crust and sprinkle on basil and oregano for more flavor. I also like to use it as an addition to meatballs and meatloaf. It adds a lot of flavor and moisture.

This is the only tomato sauce my entire family will eat! Seriously, they are so picky and only want the best. We have been eating this sauce for more than 8 years. It is very mild and tastes so fresh. We use at least one can a day. Thank you for having it on subscribe and save so I do not need to buy 30 cans a month at Whole Foods. This sauce is great on pasta, on pizza, and in lasagna. Yum! The best organic sauce around, and quite reasonably priced!

I have been very disheartened at the difficulty of getting BPA free canned goods. I work full time and need the convenience of canned ingredients when cooking for my family. In my small town, Wal-mart is the only company that carries Muir Glen, so I was so pleased to be able to order a case from Amazon and have them shipped to my door! The tomato sauce is delicious, especially since it is free of the poison infecting most canned products!

I used to get Pomi tomato sauce, but this is my new go-to brand. Those tetrapaks Pomi uses are nice and everything, but they require special recycling facilities which we don’t have. This tomato sauce has a great flavor that blends well with various spices. I use it for hot sauce and pizza sauce mostly. It’s great stuff!

This is excellent tomato sauce! It is my first experience with it, but I know I will use this product again (and again!) in the future. I like that it has no harmful ingredients, and the flavor is superb — very fresh aroma and flavor! If you do not have the time to do all the work of making your own sauce from your own tomatoes, this product is an excellent substitute.
